The 4 Healthy Habits To Be Successful With Exercise by Dr Asa Andrew

Our body is much like a machine. If we give it the right tools, it can produce great results. Our daily habits make the difference whether we will be successful or not. Whether it is strength, fat loss, or endurance, our daily habits are where our success lies with gaining tremendous results. To lose fat, become stronger, and get the healthy body we are all looking for, I studied the basic habits over many to condense them all into about four daily habits. No matter what goes on in your life, make sure to get these four in and you should hit the mark that you are looking for.

1.Drink More Water
Yes, it’s that simple. If you ever see those fanatical fitness people walking around with a gallon jug of water there is a reason! To reach your weight and fitness goals you must stay hydrated. Our bodies are made of 75% water. All of our cells crave fluid and if you give the body enough, it will perform very well.

2.Eat your “24” Fruits and Vegetables Per Day
Twenty Four!? That seems like a lot! It’s my 24 Principle. Right now only 1.5% of Americans eat their fruits and vegetables each day. Staggering. We get the majority of our nutrition from these wonderful super foods. So here is the rule of 24. Eat 2 pieces of fruit each day and 4 cups of some kind of vegetables. That makes your 24. No matter what, make it happen. Your health depends on it. 

3.Move Every Day
I don’t care what it is. Move, crawl…do something. Our bodies were designed to move. Take a walk, lift weights, play a sport, paddleboard, I’ll even take gardening on this one. Just get moving. We are slowly losing our ability to maintain a healthy weight due to our inactivity. Make it a goal at least 6 days per week. Move more and sit less.

4.Sleep 
My rule of thumb is 6-8 hours. You have to get your sleep to really be able to produce. Energy is the ability to produce something. That is the definition. If you are fatigued and only working at half, then you can’t make good decisions, exercise well, or get the goals accomplished that you need to every day. Get your rest no matter what is going on in your world. It is as important as your workout, eating habits, and attitude.
