One of biggest complaints I hear about exercise is that I don’t have time. I work all day, have the kids, and then I am exhausted! Ok I understand. Responsibilities are challenging for all of us. SO how can you maximize your time? How about exercising at work? There are actually some tips to help you get a great workout while working during the day. Here are some basics to help you beat the bulge while getting your work done. First you must work within the boundaries that won’t get you in trouble with your boss.
1.Get Up and Walk
Research has shown us that just 5 minutes of walking after 50 minutes of siting can override the negative benefits of prolonged sitting. Set an alarm on your phone and take a walk around the office.
Yes I mean Richard Simmons style. Sit in your chair and raise your legs 3 sets of 25. Do this 3 times per day.
3. Sitting Chair Crunches
Sit up straight, suck your abs in and hold for 1 second. Repeat this for 3 sets of 25. Do this 3 times per day.
4. Use Correct Posture
Sit up straight all day long. No slouching. This will create more mental energy and work your lower back muscles at the same time.
Act like you are holding a bar in your hands and press upward 3 sets of 25. If your co-workers look at you weird, don’t worry about it. You are burning more calories than they are.
